Launching Your Public Storefront
Launching Your Public Storefront
Category: Getting Started Reading time: 4 min
Your Groomera storefront is the public-facing page where clients discover your shop, browse your services, and book appointments — no app download required, no account needed on their end. It goes live the moment your profile is set up.
This guide explains what your storefront includes, how clients use it, and how to make sure it's ready to share.
Your Storefront URL
Every Groomera business gets a unique public URL the moment it's created:
groomera.com/[zipcode]/[username]
This is the link you share everywhere — on Instagram, in your Google Business profile, in text messages to clients, on your business card. It's your booking page, your product store, and your shop's home on the web.
📌 Can't remember your username? Go to your business profile in the owner dashboard — it's displayed at the top of the settings page.
What Your Storefront Shows
Your public page is built automatically from the information you've entered in Groomera. No design work required.
Here's what clients see when they visit:
Shop Header
- Your business name and logo
- Your address and contact information
- Your operating hours
Services Section
- Every service you've added, with name, description, price, and estimated duration
- A Book Now button on each service
Specialist Profiles
- Each specialist you've added (with their assigned services)
- Clients can browse by specialist and choose who they'd like for their appointment
Product Store
- Any products you've added to your inventory appear here with photos, descriptions, and prices
- Clients can add to cart and purchase directly through Stripe
Booking Flow
When a client clicks Book Now on a service:
- They choose which specialist they'd like (or "any available")
- They pick a date and time from available slots
- They enter their name, email, and phone number
- They complete payment (if the service has a price)
- They receive a confirmation email automatically
No account creation. No app. No friction.
Before You Share — Run This Checklist
Before sending your storefront link to clients, take 5 minutes to verify everything looks right.
Open your storefront in a new tab: groomera.com/[zipcode]/[username]
Go through each section:
- Business name and logo appear correctly
- Address and hours are accurate
- At least one service is visible and has a price
- At least one specialist appears under each service
- Booking slots are available — click a service and try to select a date. If no slots appear, check your specialist availability settings
- The booking flow completes — go all the way through a test booking (use your own email)
- Confirmation email arrives after the test booking
If anything is off, go back to the relevant settings section and fix it before sharing publicly.
How to Do a Test Booking
A test booking is the fastest way to catch any issues before real clients hit them.
- Open your storefront in a private/incognito browser window
- Click Book Now on any service
- Pick a specialist, date, and time
- Enter your personal email in the client details
- Complete the booking
- Check your email — you should receive a confirmation within a few minutes
- Check your owner dashboard — the booking should appear in your Bookings calendar as PENDING or CONFIRMED
Once confirmed, you can cancel or delete the test booking from your dashboard.
💡 Test on your phone too. Groomera is mobile-responsive, but a quick scroll-through on your phone confirms everything looks right for mobile visitors — which is where most of your clients will be coming from.
How the Booking Calendar Works
Your storefront only shows available booking slots. Groomera calculates availability based on:
- Your shop's operating hours (set in business profile)
- Each specialist's individual availability (set in their specialist profile)
- Existing bookings (confirmed appointments block those time slots)
- Service duration (a 90-minute service won't show a 5:30 PM slot if you close at 6:00 PM)
If no slots appear when a client tries to book, it's usually one of these reasons:
- The specialist has no availability set for that day
- All slots are already taken
- The service duration extends past closing time
See the Troubleshooting section for more detail on booking slot issues.
Sharing Your Storefront
Once you've confirmed everything looks right, start sharing your link everywhere.
In person: Add it to your business cards, receipts, and any printed materials. A QR code that links to your storefront is easy to generate for free with any QR code tool.
On Instagram / Facebook: Put it in your bio. Post it when you share grooming photos: "Book through our link in bio 🐾"
On Google: Add it to your Google Business Profile as your website URL. This drives clients from Google search directly to your booking page.
Via text: When a new client calls or messages asking about availability, send them your storefront link: "You can see our availability and book directly at your link!"
In your email signature: A simple line — "Book online: groomera.com/zipcode/username" — in your email signature passively drives bookings over time.
What Clients Experience After Booking
Once a client books through your storefront, here's what happens automatically:
- Instant confirmation email — sent to the client with appointment details, specialist name, date, time, and your shop address
- Booking appears in your dashboard — visible in your Bookings calendar as PENDING
- Reminder emails — sent 2 days and 1 day before the appointment
- SMS reminders — sent day-prior and day-of if SMS reminders are enabled for that specialist
- Post-appointment review request — when you mark the booking COMPLETED, Groomera sends a Google Review email to the client automatically (if your Google Review link is set up)
Your storefront works for you 24/7. Clients can book at 11 PM on a Sunday and the whole flow — confirmation, reminders, review request — runs without you touching anything.
Storefront Discovery by ZIP Code
In addition to your direct link, Groomera includes a ZIP code-based discovery feature. Clients can search for grooming businesses by their location and find your shop if you're in or near their ZIP code.
This is handled automatically — your shop is discoverable by location as soon as your address is entered in your business profile.
Next Step
Your storefront is live. Before you go all-in on taking bookings, make sure your trial and billing are set up so you don't lose access at an unexpected moment.
